The orifice goes into the end of the line that attaches to the intake manifold. How far into the line? Just figure out how far the manifold nipple goes into the line, then shove the orifice into the line that far and a bit further.

I don't beleve it matters where in the hose or which way the "holes" face...it's just a restrictor and should be OK almost anywhere as long as it's there.

Mine is a couple inches from the boost sensor. I've never replaced that line since I got the car. I believe it's the same one that came from production.

I had a no start problem not long after i got my seven and did a few things i didnt need to (like replace the boost sensor line) to get it to start.. I was learning and still am. Thanks HAILERS and clokker, i figured all that mattered was I shove the sucker in there. After that, afterstorage tuneup and adjusting my tps tomorrow it should be about as good as an n-a can get.

honestly if it was me i would put it closer to the sensor. after being restricted it would be laggier to fill up the void after the orifice in the line, the less open volume area there is the easier it will be to get the proper signal. of course we're talking about milliseconds but in boosted applications that can make a difference.
