Blown oil seals?

My car started smoking last year around the summer time. Right around when it got warmed up and was idling it would start blowing huge clouds of blue smoke. Right after this happened my turbo stopped boosting so with the smoking problem and the turbo it was easy to put 2+2 together. So i removed the turbo and replaced it now with another s5 that was supposidly it running condtion. Now the car is doing the same thing.
I just want to confirm that my engine has bad oil seals so i can go about figuring out what the hell im going to do. Here are the clues that i think determine weather its the turbo or the engine oil seals.
1. When i removed the turbo, my exaust ports on the engine were black and seemed to be moist possibly from oil.
2. The smoking now happens at idle when warmed up and if i rev it for a while at higher rpms it gets a hell of a lot worse.
3. I have replaced the turbo that i suspeceted had a blown oil seal.

So let me know waht you think guys cuz if its rebuild time its not gonna look good for me.
THanks.

1: does the replacement turbo have any shaft play?
2: are the I/C pipes just ater the turbo wet with oil?
3: I suspect the motor is using oil (more than normal) but aprox. how much?

Yup the turbo i put in has shaft play but i know its normal. Its not enough for the blades to hit the housing or make any noise. There is no in and out play.
The I/C pipes are totally clean. No signs of oil leakage
Im not driving the car right now so i cant tell how much oil its using. But last year when it was being driven with the old turbo and the crap loads of smoke it was spewing it was not consuming a lot of oil at all.

hmmm

Interesting, perhaps the blue smoke is fuel? Does it smell like burnt oil?

I posted this before in a different thread, but perhaps your not sure what its called PCV valve equivelent isn't functioning. Basicly you could be either slightly pressurizing the crank case with boost, or its just not venting into the intake tract like its suppose to.

Before posting this I tried it on my current rx7 wich is a 13bre powered car with the stock cosmo twins. All I did was pinch the line that comes off the oil filler neck. I don't have the valve installed, just a short vacuum line with a filter. If I pinch the line with the car idling within 2 minutes the car starts smoking allot.

There is otherwize no smoke in any circumstance, include while shifting on boost. And I don't smell fuel or fuel like emission comming out of this line which you would expect if there was allot of blow by.

So basicly what I am saying is check that valve.

Blue smoke is oil buring, black smoke is fuel and white is coolant in exaust. Theres no way blue smoke is gonna be comming from fuel.
I know my car is running extremly rich, but it always has since ive owned the car even when it never smoked at all.

Im gonna go run the car without the oil cap. That should depressurize the crankcase and illimate that possibilty, thanks for reminding me.

There is something else you can try. Flush the oil system with 5 minute flush, then re fill with your fav oil + risoline (additive, NOT ringseal). Did this to my rx3 went from consuming 1qt per 150 miles, to 1 qt per 1000 miles
