seems like you might have some blockage somewhere thats building pressure up and blowing your lines....

better check into it further , rather than just buying more and more new lines...

Are they slipping off, or blowing holes in themselves? There's no reason a new hose should burst on you. If you're still using old hoses, replace them before you kill the motor. I've had personal experience with an exploded heater hose causing a coolant passage to collapse, and I can't recommend it.

If there is excess pressure building up only at the bottom of the radiator, then it's possible the radiator itself is plugged up. 20 years of mineral deposits is never good for the cooling system.

right, it could be blown coolant seals pressurizing you coolant system, but i would think it would just blow out the overflow bottle?

sounds to me you have a clog somewhere

Are you overtightening the clamps? Work gear hose clamps will cut into the hose very easily.

Where are you getting your hoses? Are they brand new?

It is possible you are over pressurizing the cooling system. With the car STONE COLD, remove the pressure cap and start the engine. Do you see a steady stream of bubbles coming from inside the engine? Now rev it. Does coolant gush out? If the answer to the 2nd question is "yes" then you may have a compromized coolant o-ring.
