Big hole before the oxygen sensor

I bought an FC and it has a problem with the whole exhaust system.
But the only real problem I have is a big hole on the pipe right before the Oxygen sensor. This is really annoying because of many reason.
First, this makes the engine stall a lot if it does not build up enough pressure in the exhaust system.
Second, with each shift, it makes poping sound which is really loud and annoying.
Last, all the bad air from this hole is coming into the cabin.

I do now know if I can somehow patch this thing or I have to replace the parts.

Any Idea is welcome.

One more stupid question - What is this parts name? Being an immigrant, I do know the parts name in English. I probably need to study a bit more about car parts lol.

Is it a threaded hole? How many inches in front of the O2 sensor.

The hole is about a inch and half away from the oxygen sensor. I will try to get a picture of it soon.

For the moment, I probably need to find place to fix this. No matter what option I choose - No tools, time, etc, etc.

Also, Since I know the parts name, I won't look like an idiot at the shop lol.

that hole was probably used to pass emissions screw a bolt in there because you might just need that hole later on

I just checked it now, and found out that it is not a threaded hole. I wasn't sure yesterday.

Depending on how large the hole is, you could go to a exhaust shop and ask them to weld a 02 bung in that area. Then at least the *patch* would serve a useful purpose.

You might try one of the name shops like Midas, but you'd be better off going to a shop that deals with *hot rod* cars and the like.

Search for 02 bung if you don't know what they are.
