Tell them to get you a 39 inch vbelt.... if they cant figure that out they need to quit. Parts store people are like walmart people. No idea what they're doing. If the computer doesn't list it it doesn't exist.

Get a string and wrap it around the 2 pulleys and get a measurement.
Put that string in your pocket.
Go to store, reach in your pocket, pull out string.

"I wanna a belt THIS Freakin Big..."
If they don't understand that, make a noose out of the String and hang the stupid SOB!

Here you go:

https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/mor...nid=18&jpid=35

https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/mor...nid=18&jpid=36

Took about 5min. Found the belt for an Rx7 alt. Put the Gates number in their part# search an wild carded the last two digits. Scaned the results for the width an length I wanted. Tried searching their part# from the pdf but didn't work on their site.

Why not just go to a hardware store and get a belt off the shelf? Or a bearing/supply store?

Most auto part store sales people are truly aweful, but there is a guy at my local autozone that could find you 40mm muffler bearings if you needed some.

ya, you gotta find the right person at every different auto store. You tell them you want a rebuild kit for a carter 4 barrel carb (and give them the #'s of the carb) and they just look at you dumbfounded, its sometimes comical
