Angry Belt on a 13B engine

You see i just got a 1986 Maxda RX-7
and there is a belt missing
the car will turn over and every thing but just not start
The thing is it is a belt that i cant see
See i went to start it one day and it sounded like the weirdest noise it almost sounds like the timing belt noise that it would make on a regular 4 cylinder car.
If you could tell me what belt broke and how to get to it that would be greatly apprciated.

look for something with an empty pulley.
Possibilities:

Air pump
ps pump
ac pump
alternator

No it is none of these. I pulled the alternator and the pulley also and the air pump well first i pulled the fan see the belt that i am looking for is like a chain but on some models like mine I think is a belt. I think it may be called a drive belt

You're probably looking for a timing belt or chain from the crank that is used to run the camshaft(s) on a piston engine. The rotary doesn't have one of these. See if you have spark, and compression.

Only oil pump chain....sounds like you need to look into fuel, spark, and comp.
