your Steering position sensor(That plastic ring behind the Steerung wheel) needs to be aligned correctly.See if the contacts are ok on the signal cancellation too while you are there,.
Put the Wheels to Straight(pointing Straight on the car.Not on the steeering wheel),then align the plastic part to the arrows,then put the streering wheel back on.
Worse comes to worse you can pull the Power steering ECU out at the driver;s side kick panel.
You do not have to take off" the Power steering unit..God,,freakin People.
also your ignition switch sounds Funky..I would try a Graphite spray On the key to try to "lube the ignition internals" so that the Tumblers and such are Engaging and disengaging properly.
A Bad ignition switch can be From something as Small as Extra Keys on your Key ring adding Weight to the Switch;s internals,and causing Premature wear.Try using just a Couple keys on your Key ring..NOT a ring that includes the House key,work keys,keys to the GF's house.,keys to Mom's house and the Garage with your Buddy's Chevy,,..heheh..

Sounds like you have a pinched/broken wire that's shorting with vibration. You may want to pull the wheel and column houseing and verify that none of the wires were pinched when you reassembled it last time around. Get a good multi-meter w/ a diode testing feature. It will buzz when you short the test leads so you don't have to see the meter while you test the wires for continuity.
Disconnect the battery before you start testing, and actually test from ground to each end of the wires as well as end to end on the wires. A broken wire will not have continuity end to end, a bare wire will have continuity end to end, but may also have continuity to ground. These type of wireing issues are tough to trace if you can't see the wires from end to end. Where ever you can, run your fingers along the wires feeling for bulges or gaps. Best of luck!

 

Wasnt I disconnecting the power steering ECU? And I did have the car straight, lined the steering position sensor horizontally then tried to put the wheel on but the way they went made the wheel about 30 degrees to the right, and that was really annoying. As far as my ignition sure ill try that too though I have two sets neither are heavy at all and just have 2 keys and a key-chain on them as I hate bulky things.

Thank you for the mini tutorial but I rather not undo the steering housing as because I didnt take that apart in the first place...just got as far as the bolt to keep the steering wheel on.

 

what does 2 beeps when i start the car mean?

 

Seat belts perhaps?

 

The other day I was driving and got the beeps, alot of them, and the power steering completly stoped working. then it went back to normal. what could that be?

 

i think i have the same problem but mine's beep 3 times. it come and go so what can i do to fix it?
