I know what I want to do. I'm stuck with it for along time. That is what i'm going to stick with is the street port.

A buddy of mine said that a bridge port would be better. I looked into it and it wasn't a bad idea. But I was to far into the the project to change. I already had the sleeves and the ported intake.

If I did go with the bridge port I would get a t2 lower intake and the FD Upper intake and a Stand alone.

These don't fit together without some work.

If you were to go full bridge, I would recommend sticking with a very straightforward manifold like the RB lower, then going with a set of ITBs and building a good airbox.

Curious.

In the first post you've never seen an RX custom CAI or the TB mod?

Both aren't anything new by any means.

With that mentality I honestly think you will be disappointed. All this work just to run what, mid 14s at best? I'd understand if it were going to be a track car thats kept NA for reliability purposes...

No the TB mod I have seen but I have never seen someone take that hole out of the TB. Make it smooth and round.

I was looking at having it be a autocross car or a drift car. I have been talking to Justin Pawlak alot lately and he said that all I would need to drift is coil overs and upgraded steering angle set up and some good tires and I should be good.

It is coming along here is some updated pictures.

Nothing like using a 3 speed drimel, 120 grit attachment, a steel brush, mother polish, and some polishing wheels.

I'm curious on when porting the secondaries (if you keep the 6PI--that's where the 6PI sit right?) how could you port to keep them functional yet still get the benifites of the port?

Ummm Well if your talking about the intake. It could be good to port the secondary ports to the gaskets you have. The when you get down to the engine core port 5th/6th port to the gasket also. Then don't do anything to the intake that goes into the engine to combust.

Really I don't even thing your supposed to port the 5th and 6th port. So basically what i told you is false info.lol

Kevin Landers ports the 5/6 ports for an emission friendly port job. Theory is that you retain stock port timing in the rpm range that emission test occur, yet you can have a decent increase in the top-end performance. I don't know how it works out in practice, but that is a service that Kevin provides. Most people trust Kevin and value his working knowledge in this matter, so I believe that this is practical.

http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/2n...tion_sp6p.html

For the 6 port engines, I now offer 2 styles of port work. These are the “6th port only” streetport, and the “full intake/exhaust” streetport.

For those wanting a little bit of extra top end increase with no sacrifice in emissions, idle, low end driveability, or noise, I offer the 6th port SP. This mod basically opens up the auxiliaries (5th and 6th ports) only, while leaving the other intake ports responsible for idle and low/midrange power stock. I also leave the stock exhaust port alone, however the exhaust diffuser found in 86-91 rotorhousings is removed for better flow (this does not affect emissions or idle, and does not dramatically increase noise). The diffuser is cut out with a torch, and though this leaves a slightly rough cut edge, flow is greatly improved from before and this rough edge in no way affects port flow.

Kevin, do you have any pictures of the port or any numbers associated with that type of port?

That is interesting. I don't get it though. So you basically open the ports up but during idle they are not used.

I think what he's saying is that you leave the other ports (underneath the 5/6 port) alone and only open up the 5/6 ports for better top end, and by leaving the other ports stock you will retain a good idle and not affect emissions tests.
