Battery Suggestions?

Battery Suggestions?
Umm....I am NOW looking for a long lasting battery that will hold a good charge through some serious weather. I don't really know my batteries so just throw some names out there.

Which Optimas are you guys using? I'm running a yellow-top... Just relocated it to behind the passenger seat. I've got the kill switch installed and I noticed something funny. When the car is running and you shut-off the battery, the alternator keeps it running, but my voltage jumps up about .2 above when the battery is connected. Does the yellow-top drain so much constantly? I've heard that they are best for trailers with generators, and that they are bad for alternators, Of course, I didn't know that two years ago when I bought the thing.
