Stock Boost Gauge Problem?
Hi, I am having problems with my Stock 1990 T2, The gauge works but will not read any Possative Boost it goes to 0 then stops even when the Turbo is producing its stock boost (i also have a aftermarket boost gauge).
I have checked all the Pipes etc from the Manifold to the Sencer. The only other thing i can think of is somthing like a Inlet Leak?
Also is it true the same sencer that controls the gauge supplys information to the Ecu? Would this end up damaging my Engine?
Thanks

it could be that your boost sensor is not relaying the correct readings to the ECU to be shown on the stock gauge...
what reading are you getting on the aftermarket gauge during WOT? do you have an FCD?

Check pin 2H on the ECU (under the passenger side floor kick panel) (15th pin from the right, bottom row) to ground with a voltmeter. Take 'er out for a spin. If the voltage stays around 2.2 volts, the ECU is registering 0 boost. That is BAD. If, however, the voltage gets way above that (3.5 volts = 7psi boost, it is a linear function so you can approximate voltage vs boost.), then your ECU is getting a good signal, your guage is busticated, since you allready have another boost guage, don't worry about it. Have fun!
