bad water pump

bad water pump

my question is as follows. if a water pump is bad, and i mean its bad, leaking from the seals. can this be a cause for car vibrations when acceleration??

I would think if there is enouph shaft play that it could cause some vibes. Considering the fact that it is mounted toward the top of the block with that many bolts.

damn, thanks i just replaced the waterpump and all is good, no more vibrations
