Automatic Seatbelts

My automatic seatbelts don't work and I know that they're under lifetime warranty at the mazda dealership. Now I called them to ask them if this was actually a fact, and the women said, "Yes, it is under lifetime warranty, but once you replace this, other little things will go wrong." I was thinking by this time oh **** this dealership is going to **** up my car. So, I don't know what to do, and I need seatbelts (for my own safety. I need some second oppinions as to what to do, thanks for your help.

I would get them done by the dealership. I was reading a report (Consumer Report?) that said that the seatbelts could fail to lock when a crash occured, thus allowing your torso to whip forward. Not good in my book. I cannot imagine what else could go wrong if they replaced the seatbelts and the componants like they should.

Nothing could go any more wrong than you getting in an accident and getting thrown out the window. Everything else is minor.

Awesome... I have automatic seatbelts, and the stupid beeping for the seatbelt like comes on because there's a bad connection in the driver's side. I'll go to mazda, and make them fix it!

haha, the lady said that they cover the rails. That beaping is you not strapping in the lap belt. The driver's side lap belt is what triggars the beeping sound.

No. I have the lap part strapped. When I wiggle the automatic clip, the beeping flickers with the seatbelt light. I KNOW it's the top part. I've "professionally" diagnosed it

As far as I know, they cover every part of the automatic part of the seatbelt system. That includes rails, seals, greasing, and motor parts too. I know this because they had to order a motor for mine because it had failed.
