Anyone running similar mods?

Hey all, sorry if this isnt the right place to post this . I was wondering what most of you are running for mods, and if any run similar setup to what mine will be.

Racing beat Rev Tii exhaust
Stock air box
Ported waste gate
Rtek 1.7
720cc secondaries

What boost are you guys running and how much hp? Havent had the chance to install, or dyno everything yet.

I have pretty much the same mods except 750 secondaries, stock ecu, BNR stage 2 compressor, streetport. Stock boost.

How much boost do you run then? Does it want to run lean on you?

I ran a stock s5 turbo on a S4 block with 550cc all around. 12psi using my SAFC to adjust the fuel, had some overboosting until I ported the gate. I've heard on stock turbo 12psi is pretty much the limit.

last time i did one, it was RB exhaust, S5 turbo, cone filter, 680cc secondaries, FD fuel pump. it would peak around 8psi, and settle at 7, pretty sure it was stupid rich, but i never checked

the previous setup was the same except it had a V trim compressor, stock injectors and an F Con, i was running 11psi on that, pretty sure it could have used more fuel

Just thought I'd add, stock '89 TII turbo, stock original exhaust except for precat delete, FD pump, MBC, G-Force ecu 12lbs.
Been fine for the last 18 years when it was, shall we say, upgraded.

[sarcasm] zomg! that will blow up any second, if you do any mods you need to lower the boost so its less than stock [/sacrasm]

one other one i did was an S5 turbo car with an FD fuel pump, 13B Cosmo engine, V trim S5 turbo, front mount, 3" exhaust, and an F Con (its what people ran) stock injectors (4x550). this one actually had a wide band on it, and at 12psi it was a little lean, so it got lowered to 10psi, the Fcon is cool it has a 0-9 pot to adjust, and 0 is stock, and 9 is as rich as it can go, in 0.5 AFR point increments. how HKS could have something that accurate in 1986 (when the F Con came out) amazes me.

the previous setup in that car was a 13BT with 3mm seals and a small port, T4 turbo on an HKS log with an old school Greddy IC, RB exhaust, same stock ECU, Fcon and stock injectors. running about 6 psi, that did pop, but the workmanship was terrible

that specific car was huge fun, it was pretty stock except that engine stuff. suspension was stock springs and tokico illuminas, and it felt great.

.
{sarcasim] Let's see, when the engine was replaced with a Mazda remaufactured the add-ons took place in 2002 at 155,000 miles, and now at 216,000 miles still runs strong as ever, so don't when the any second is going to come about. No reason why it should as the modified ecu does it's job.[sarcasim]

Rebuilt S4 TII keg
Extremely Large Street Port (brappy idle)
Rtek 1.7
720CC Secondary
Custom Garrett Hybrid (similar to BNR Stage 2, larger v-trim wheel, S5 hotside with ported wastegate)
Apexi Downpipe
3" Ebay Exhaust
Walbro LPH 255

Made 14 PSI after I upgraded from the 2.5" to 3" exhaust. This killed my hybrid turbo when it compressor surged (my fault, I torqued the comp wheel nut improperly and used blue loctite not red), now I'm just running a stock S5 at 10 psi until I rebuild the hybrid), AFR's where always fine, in the 11's at full boost, thing was a ripper at that boost.

With stock primary fuel injectors, it is generally recommended to limit boost to 10 psi on a 87-88 and 11 psi on a 89-91, and also rewire and upgrade the fuel pump, shim the eccentric shaft thermowax pellet, add a cone air filter, and add an electric cooling fan.
