Anyone got the e-manage?

I was looking into getting the GReddy e-manage but wanted to know some people with FC's experiences with it. Any feedback would be great.

I'v been looking at it for some time, only for the option of running two extra injectors with out having to go haltech! I just don't like the idea of having a laptop all the time to tune it, where a SAFC you can tune right on your dash! Not saying that it's a good thing to tune without a dyno and wideband.

It's pretty cheap to buy! but than you need the harness, cable and software. For me the cost for all the parts plus injectors ect was only $200 less than buying a stand alone

Well I found that I can get the e-manage with everything I need for like $390. I don't have a laptop right now but I have a friend that will let me use his till I buy one off ebay for like a few hundred $$. The reason I am leaning towards the e-manage is it can control ignition as well as fuel, and the fact that I hear bad things about most standalone's boost control function. Oh and I heard that I can get rid of my AFM with the e-manage.

It is still a piggyback since you keep your stock ecu(haltechs and the sort replace it). But it is a much better system than the s-afc. I am not really the person to ask since I am trying to decide on it myself though. The fact that I can replace the afm is worth the extra money than getting an s-afc...to me at least.

You cannot get rid of your AFM with that unit! You can upgrade to a series 5 AFM but it still has to be a flapper door style. Search single turbo 7's forum! there a lot of info on what you can do.

Hmm I guess your right. I coulda swore someone told me you could ditch the afm. Well it doesn't look like too much of an upgrade from the s-afc when you break it down. It makes tuning alot more complicated like a standalone, but you don't get the features of a standalone. I dunno, think I might just go with the s-afc and get a standalone later on down the road.
