Arrow Anyone Ever See One of These? Sunroof Visor?

This came out of a parts car I had a LONG time ago. It was sat up on a shelf and hasn't been in touched in 5-6 years. Not sure where these came from. Anyone wanna shed some light for me?

2slow4stock - Nice Ninja Edit.

The main question I was asking is...

Is this a common piece that I have just never seen before?

It's not common, since things tend to break. Or just get destroyed from the sun. What you have is a good item. Not much fc's that I know have them. Very few... I would rock one out.

I bought my '88 TII with one already installed. The PO probably installed it but I'm not sure. I yanked mine off since it was broken.

back in the day every sunroof car on the planet had one of those optional, it was a hot item, so were rear window louvers!

Looks like one of those dealer installed "accessory" options. Don't remember where I saw the list of them.

I think that was a Mazda "Finish Line" part, meaning it was available in Mazda parts departments to be installed by the dealer or sold directly to customers. I'm not wild about these (or rear window louvers) myself, but they definitely have their fans.

As noted by 2slow4stock, many of these have probably gotten broken and/or thrown away over the years, so I'd agree it is now probably pretty rare.

I had one of those on my 93 626. They actually work very, very well to reduce buffeting and 'booming' pressure effect from a fully open sunroof.

They *don't* let you drive in the rain with the sunroof open.

You can buy aftermarket versions in generic sizes to fit any sunroof moonroof.

heh.I have Two of those Pieces.I tried selling them.Nope.Can't even Give them away.
My Mother uses one to Prevent snow from going in between the Hood and the Windshield. It makes it a hell of alot easier to clean the snow out,and prevents the wipers from freezing into that Pain in the *** Crevice!..(so If you have a Montana van,In winter these things Cover the wipers Real good!!!!).Just Popl on the windshield before a Snow storm, take off(clean Ice free wipers.!),Drive away.
