anyone ever change a tranny syncro?

anyone ever change a tranny syncro?
How hard is it to change a 5th gear syncro in the 2nd gen tranny? Any special tools or presses required? Anyone done this before?

I wanna know this to, I have to let the rrpms drop 1k so i can put it into fifth gear without out grinding

I think we're all grinding at this point, unless we got rebuilds! 2nd & 3rd for me...

i was grinding 2nd with out double clutching and after some redline MT90 and a short shifter with new buschings my grind went away

still looking (along with the rest of us) for first hand experience from anyone who has changed the 5th gear (or any gear) syncro.

I thought about doing it, yes, you need bearing pullers and lots of expensive tools.. check the fsm..
