they come in various sizes, in quart and gallon-sized containers mainly. check it out at home depot in the paint section. i assume 2-3 refers to the quart-sized ones. i ended up using a little over 3 quarts (out of a gallon jug) in about two gallons of gas.

You use however much alcohol it takes to dilute your gas to the point that you don't have enough of the gas emmissions to cause a problem. You fill up immediately afterwards so you don't blow your engine due to running alcohol in boost.

the only trick that realy works (for shure) and will reduce your emissions by 50% if to unplug a fuel injector.
which will turn your engine into a air pump

LOL I wouldnt try that on a boosted car.

And who said my car was broke? No ACV with a standalone, and turbo piping prevents the stock airpump.

I still have my cat, and a LT1 airpump im hooking up for the test. I just want to make one trip to the testing station, and dont want to have to open my hood. The only thing that concerns me, is the premix, which I will be using half as much as normal when I do the test.

Well, I pass with a standalone.. And I actually install my ACV and airpump. I was also premixing at 1 oz per gallon, and I passed with flying colors.

I was going to run my airpump right to my cat, and premix half as much as usual.

Hoping it will work. Maybe ill try that before the alcohol.

in colorado, if you fail, you get a free retest if you do it within a few days. all you have to do is put something down on the repairs section listing a thing or two you replaced. since they gave me a printout saying what could be wrong with my car (based on the fact that i had too many hydrocarbons) i just picked out something that corresponded with that printout. in my case it was replacing plugs and wires. since i had actually done that a few weeks prior, they all were new and pretty, so it was pretty legit-looking.

Well. like I said. I *technically* ran the airpump direct to the cat by removing the diaghram from the ACV. I didnt reduce my premix, nor did I lower my octane rating for the test. The numbers were outstanding! Take that for what its worth.

Does any one have a diagram of the ACV so I can see which one to remove to get it to pump constantly?
