On the roof. No access from popping the hatch. Anyone have ideas?

Paintless dent repair guy could attack from a couple angles. Glue and pull from top and/or drill the roof support on the underside and push it out with a spoon.

My neighbor doesnt think a pdr guy could bc of no access

Yeah, PDR wont drill and plug your cloth roof liner, but they will remove it and drill and plug the internal sheetmetal to get at the underside of the roof skin (its a double wall roll hoop there at the rear of the hatch).

Pulling out a small dent

I have some areas on my GXL that need to be redone.

I found online an old-school tool. The tip is a sheet metal screw welded to a 10" rod.
There is a heavy metal collar that slides over the rod.
Drill a hole in the dent, screw the sheet metal screw into the hole and proceed to slide the collar out, pulling out the dent!

Pull it out as best you can, remove the dent-puller and proceed working the area with a sanding block, filler, primer, and paint until it is invisible.
This method will be the least invasive, trying to hammer the dent out from the back is noteworthy but not worth the time and effort.

If you are really concerned with drilling a hole in the sheet metal, braze it closed before doing the leveling.
What do you think?

PDR. I worked in a body shop for awhile. Seen way worse in really bad locations. They can get it out.
