Another mother F'ing horror story!

So I have a new horror story to add to my previous horror story. Fortunately for me I did not take the brunt of the damage in this story.....................So........I found a car for sale in the second gen forum. An 88 Turbo II with about 100k on the clock. The seller of the car is asking for 900.00 which I think is a pretty good deal. The only problem with the car is that it's in boston and I'm in New York. Not that I couldn't do the drive, but the bitch of transporting it back was apparent. Luckily for me, the seller agreed to drive it down for me (one of the coolest members on the board by the way).I couldn't pass up the deal. They drove down on wednesday with the car I was to buy and their transportation back( S5 Turbo II). After accidentally sending them on a wrong way tour of connecticut highways we met at the Danbury mall at 7:30pm. The drive back to my house with the other 2 rx7's was great! After dropping of the car at my house I suggest that I lead them back to the highway to start their return trip (3 and 1/2 hours). Its already 9:30 and I still need to drive my friend home. We make it to the highway after smashing on a honda civic and all is going well. The seller of the car calls me from his friends Turbo II and asks if we could go back to my house. Apparently he had forgotten something in the car he had sold me. It's only about 2 miles from where we are on the Highway so I get off at the next exit. This particular exit, is an entrance that I use all the time so I'm familiar with the roads but they are wet and littered with patches of dense fog. Needless to say I'm taking it slow. I'm also trying not to lose the car thats following me, the TurboII. We go through a few turns and the turbo is right behind me, having no problem cruising with my gxl. The next turn is a slight S turn and I negotiate it easily at about 40Mph. I look in my rear view to make sure he's still on me and.........nothing! Uh-Oh I don't see any Fucun headlights. He was right with me, where the hell did he go? So i quickly whip the car around to see if he broke down. 100 yards up the road I see the remnants of a beautiful Rx7 after sliding into a tree. Luckily the guys are both unharmed but the car is pretty fuked. Not to mention its the drivers 18th birthday and he's 240 miles from home with no transportation. Luckily I was able to get them on a train and get them back to boston. I am now waiting to see what they'll do with the wrecked TurboII sitting in my drive way. I have never felt so bad for someone, these guys definitely did not deserve to have this happen after a 4 hour drive. Anyway here are a couple pics and the link to my other horror story.

you know, you may just want to stay away from RX-7's for awhile .
You live in New york, so I guess I have enough of a buffer zone

luckily it does not appear that there was any damage to the engine. I got the hood open to take a look and the damage doesnt even appear to have made it to even the radiator. I'll find out more today. the only thing that worries me is the wrinkle in the fenders...possibly an indication of a twisted frame?

I'm glad you guys are ok. And i'm sorry to hear about this unfortunate, unfortunate occurrence. I'll drill you about your driving when the car is repaired and you've had a good laugh about the incident.

$200 from Victoria British, or $50 used.

I wouldn't call that expensive at all.
