well i guess u could take of the fenders? I'm not that good with assesing damage but an educated guess says it looks twisted. the fact the the tire points straight yet is sticking way ot kinda shows that the frame may have moved over 4 inches

How can we find out if theres frame damage? Thats the most that worries me.
visual inspection. You can also take the diagnal measurements from corner to corner. if they vary from side to side it is bent. The dimensions are in the owners manual or the haynes manual. Sorry to hear about this but glad everyone is ok.

I bought my TII with frame damage, so I learnt a fair bit about em. First things first, jack the up the whole car, jackstands etc. Get out the measuring tape, measure the distant between the frame rails. Just not the front, but the whole car. I'd say there's a very high chance that both rails are bent, probably inwards. There is a round support that connects the 2 rails infront of the radiator, looking at that also lets you get a general impression. I think it's definately fixable, mine was just as bad but hit from the side... Don't remove anything till you deal with insurance, you got a long road ahead of you, sorry to hear about it and good luck!

That's horrible. Keep on the insurance company and get a good explaination. THEY work for YOU. You deserve to know everything. You own them , and keep that in mind when you talk to their reps.
BTW- I though in the first post it mentioned that the transportation back was an S5TII? That's an S4 in the pics though...

umm buddy... go see a lawyer. Your insurance company is there FOR YOU. They don't refer you to a number that doesnt exist. And if they do, they are a scam artist and legal action MUST BE TAKEN IMMEDIATELY.

Must...scrub...parts...
I think it might not be that bad since the wheels look like they're where they belong. Did the radiator crack? If not, i'd try starting her up and doing a quick tour around the block if the fenders aren't pressing into the wheels. That will tell you real quickly if the frame is bent.

Sorry about your car, but it's not the insurance company's fault that you didn't take out collision. Liability doesn't cover damage to your car in accidents that are your fault. Everyone should read their policy so they know what's covered and what's not. I'm not a fan of insurance companies after managing a body shop for 4 years and having to fight for every nickel we deserved. At the same time, you need to know what is covered and not. If you're not sure, call your agent and have them explain your policy to you.
BTW--the damage to your car is not that bad. With used or aftermarket parts you should be able to keep it on the road. Try dealing with Mike's Towing in Danbury. Mike is a good, honest body man. Maybe have him fix the frame rails & radiator support and rough hang the sheet metal. That should get you back on the road.
