Angry Door

not a big deal,
but does anyone else have problems with closing your door?

my door won't close unless I slam it sometimes.
makes me look retarded when I open and close it like 8 times haha
and people think I'm always mad.

and what I noticed was that when I close the door, the hatch glass will vibrate, like a big wave.

and when I close my door with my sun roof or my windows open, it's closes perfectly.

just curious if there's a sloution to close the door without looking like an angry ricer and keeping the windows close at the same time

your door is out of alignment. remove it, spray some wd40 on the jams where it first makes contact and replace it making sure it is straight.

basically what is happening your door is slightly lower than the "hook" where it latches too so when you close it it has to raise itself and the only way that is going to happen is with enough force. same thing happened to my friends mustang and that's how we fixed it.

check the tab the door locks on to on the frame. mine was doing the same thing. found out it was the 2 screws holding the tab that got loose.

My passenger door on the new FC does this, but only to women . Get an ratcheting 12mm and loosen all 4 hinge bolts on the door, get someone else to lift up the door up, and then tighten the bolts back as they're still lifting up on the door. Maybe loosen the 3 phillips screws slightly on the door latch itself, shut the door, open it, and re-tighten them too.

I've been meaning to do that for a month, atleast...

lol it could be like the vert where you cant close the glass hatch unless a door or window is open because of the air displacement

I know what this is. It's most likely your door latch (inside the actual door). The part of the latch that strikes the striker is cracked/broken. If you look at the door latch when the door is open, look at the latch (it has a white nylon w/black plastic piece). The black plastic piece is cracked or broken. Believe it or not, if cracked or broken this will prevent a smooth closure.

I just changed mine recently in my RX7 and Probe, and now my doors close with two fingers. I had to train myself not to slam them.

This makes no sense. The vert has no hatch.
