Alternator or something else?

Well, as u can tell I am having a problem. My car has been thru 2 batteries in a week. It ran for a while but then dies and doesn't even crank later on. Alternator?

help pls

I would think so. A bad alternator can lead to bad batteries. If they have autozones or similar auto parts stores in canada that test alternators for free that would be the first place I would go. If that isnt an option you can follow the procedure in the FSM.

should i get mine rebuilt or buy a used one for $45 US w/ 3 months warranty?

I would recommend an FD alternator from silverrotor. I believe he is still selling them. PM silverrotor.

Disconnect battery.
Unhook the wires from the old one.
Unbolt it from the bracket.
Bolt the new one to the bracket, making sure the belt is tight, but not too tight.
Hook up wires.
Reconnect battery.
You're done.
