alt. keeps going bad

alt. keeps going bad

hey guys my car in the past year has been through about 6 or 7 alt. but when i test the electrical system it only says the alt is bad. nothing else. any ideas why the alt keeps going.

Are you putting NEW alts in the car or OLD alts???

are you running a lot of accessories that are putting a high load on the at...

i usually put in remans in. no i dont have any accessories. well except for the radar detector.

lifetime warranty(?sp). ive been through about 7 of them for free. there are no more in indiana. lol.

Its probably NOT your car.. I went through several of those "Lifetime" alternators before I got wise and got a Pro Amp alt here from Tucson Alternator Exchange. That thing hasnt had a single problem.

yeh...most of those lifetime alts are refurbished...which means its going to **** out on u within a couple of months....like Dells muhahahhahaha

ive also heard that putting a alt in with a bad battery is also a no no, or even a possibly somewhat charged battery is a no no

do you have the plug in the back conected?? if not or thats screwed up the voltage regulation of the alt wont be corect and it will burn them out quite quickly
