Are you putting NEW alts in the car or OLD alts???

are you running a lot of accessories that are putting a high load on the at...

Let me guess.. Auto Zone/Checkers specials, right?

beamer242 11-10-05 03:24 PM

lifetime warranty(?sp). ive been through about 7 of them for free. there are no more in indiana. lol.

Its probably NOT your car.. I went through several of those "Lifetime" alternators before I got wise and got a Pro Amp alt here from Tucson Alternator Exchange. That thing hasnt had a single problem.

zeromage428 11-10-05 03:55 PM

yeh...most of those lifetime alts are refurbished...which means its going to shit out on u within a couple of months....like Dells muhahahhahaha

ive also heard that putting a alt in with a bad battery is also a no no, or even a possibly somewhat charged battery is a no no
