All 720cc?

Could I run 720cc injectors all around without Rtek v1.8? Anything needed at all?

You'll have to run a fuel controller or aftermarket ECU. You can't just slap huge injectors in there without retuning or the engine will run massively rich all the time. You'll be lucky if it starts.

Short answer, no.

Long answer, maybe.
With a fuel computer, you might be able to get away with it.
I always had trouble with hot starts, cause the (stock) ECU has no idea you're running that big primaries.

Now I run a Haltech E8, and it has no problem doing so.

i have been using megasquirt on my AE86 for a lil while now. its an ok system but it likes to act up some time, by changing maps and fuel curvers a lot. but maybe it could be my simulater. i dunno know but i do plan however looking at changing the system. the Rteck looks to be a good system. seems to be pretty straight forward and a plug and play unit. however i have heard people do reccomend a piggy back fuel controller to fine tune your system. any insight on that from people who are actually using the system?

RTEK is good IMO only because it retards timing above a certain psi (9 i believe) but if you dont plan on running more than that or just plan on running stock or near stock psi i would go for a safc to fine tune your car and get the afr's your desire.

My car got 720 pri and 890 sec with Rtek 1.7 and a Apexi SAFC, for 15 psi of boost, it works, however, I just could not tune it to the way I hope it to be, never experienced with a standalone yet, so I can not make comparison, while people have been telling me it is nice to have. I have no starting problems, however I did floor the car rarelly, one thing nice about the Rtek is that, it got a anti-flood feature. At low RPMs/idle it runs a bit rich ...

I think I agree with bacek. I would imagine the SAFC would work without the Rtek1.7 and 1.8(?), which compensates for lager secondaries as well as retards timing according to boost. Nevertheless, I kinda leaning toward recommending a standslone system.

IMO i think that the safe cap in terms of rwhp for mods without going standalone is 225rwhp. if you want more you gonna be spending more money and a piggy back would not be the safest way to go about things and a standalone should be the only way to go if you are looking for above 225rwhp. you can achieve around 200-220, depending on the dyno and if your car is s4 or s5 with intake, full exhaust, and a fuel pump. THE RTEK DOES NOT ADD ANY POWER AT ALL

i thought i heard somewhere that the ecu ignores mafs input on startup and goes with a preset duty cycle...rendering the safc useless by itself if the injectors are too big. rtek changes that startup duty cycle value.
