alignment woes

Recently my car has been pulling to the right, forcing me to hold the wheel to the left a tad to keep her driving straight. I had my wheels aligned, and they didnt fix the problem much, but the guy said I have a bad bend on my front right wheel, inner side. (which it does, Ive seen it). He said that is probabily the cause of it.

Anyone know for sure if thats what it was? The alignment didnt do much, and seemed to just work itself back to where it was. do you guys think getting a new rim would fix it?

if its not the rim it could be your tires also...are they pretty worn? any uneven wear?

I just got new ones actually, ruled the tire possibility out.

How bad is the wheel bent? If its bad enough it could throw the rolling compensation off and give you inaccurate readings. It can also be tire pull because of the way your tires were worn before the alignment. Try crossing the front wheels and see if that helps.

Ok, new tires, just saw your post after I posted. Check your tie rods, ball joints for any play, check tire pressure to see if he set them right when he did the align. It could be he didnt do a good job too, lol.

He probabily did a bad job. I wouldn't doubt it. I parked my car RIGHT UP FRONT, went in, gave the info, and walked outside. not more than 5 minutes later a service guy walks out, with my keyes and stands around and looks left and right, obviously looking for my car.

Now, keep in mind, my car is right up front, with no cars near it. HUGE SUNRISE RED rx7. you'd think he would notice. he walks up to me and asks "you the guy with the mazda...wheres the rx7"

How someone could miss the car that was 3 feet in front of them is beyond me.

Then when the guy finally got in the car and got it started (I guess he doesnt know that clutch has to be pushed in to start a car), he slipped it like mad driving to the garage.

oiy....then when he got the alignment readings he said that rotating the cambers to another side would fix it...(didnt do ****). the cars just like it was two days ago before the alignment.

anyway, end rant...anyone have any more suggestions?

80% of the time when i aligned vehicles a pull was caused by tires.

try either rotating the front tires left to right, or rotating the tires front to back and go and drive it.
