It's tiny. 3/8" NPT is pretty big. That's the size of the GM sensor that I use on my Megasquirt (which is pretty honkin large). I don't think either of those sizes are right. I don't think I have one in my old box o' parts, but I'll look anyways.

Look a little past halfway down this page:

won't fit anyways, you will have to tap and rethread it for the GM sensor if you don't want to remap it for the stock sensor.

he deals in Haltech stuff and included a harness for sensors when I bought mine, that was plug and play.
If you need a sensor or need info he would know or can supply what you need.

Haltech has 2 sizes. 1/4 npt and 3/8 npt.

The 1/4 npt taps into the stock location as it has enough to accept 1/4 threads.
My E11v2 came with the 3/8 so I changed to the 1/4.

I believe the stock is 1/4 BPT, or British Pipe Thread. You would have to tap the hole to get the 1/4 NPT National Pipe Thread to fit right.

the BPT port can't be rethreaded to 1/4" NPT, it will destroy half the threads.

you probably could thread the 1/4" NPt right into the BPT port but some care would have to be used, the threads are very closely matched.

Much as the purist in me hates to admit it, that's exactly what I did and it's been fine for years.

considering it's brass and aluminum and pipe thread it's difficult to mess anything up unless you have gorilla arms and try to tighten it down too far.

3 ports share this BPT thread size which is the oil pressure sender port, IAT sensor port and the S5 coolant temp sender port. all can accept 1/4" NPT sensors for aftermarket gauges and i don't rethread any of them.

If you're going to do that, get an NPT sensor. Taps are a lot easier to find and probably going to be less expensive.

For the record, the stock sensor is M10 x 1. M10 x 1 is close enough to 1/8 NPS that you can just thread an NPS sensor in there without issue.

Not really relevant as you need to retap for a new sensor anyway.

Coincidentally, the same size as almost every Japanese brake fitting, so having a 10mm x 1.0 tap and die is quite useful.
