Ahhh which to get??? Help me decide....

Ok i'm looking at 2 RX-7's...

1st...

1987 GX N/A.. (buying from uncle)
It has 91K kilometers all original.
No power windows or anything.
Has a sunruff which i love.
The exterior is a whicked gunsmoke grey (i think it is called that) it is in next to perfect condition.. Interior has absolutly no stains, no dirt.
Everything just got checked at mazda and everything was replaced that wasn't in good working order.
now my uncle on the way home from the dealership noticed the engine was running a little hotter than usually.
I guess the mechanics when checking it over bent something and it hit the fan, not letting it spin.
He only ran it hot like this for a block. Now after a couple of weeks is still running fine.
Before this incident they said the engine had excellent compression. Don't know if it really hert the engine at all or not.
You guy's think it would hert the engine much to run it overheated for a block?

2nd item on the list

1990 N/A again base model.
No power options, and has no sunroom which i dont like.
Has 175k Kilometers and engine was rebuilt at 150.
It has the most ugly rims ever, i think they are stock on the factory GTU's (I think that is what they are called).
I like the S5 model better because of the rear lights and the 8 thousand RPM Redline. So thats a plus
Exterior is red and parts of it are starting to fade. Interior seems to be in O.K. condition. It has a CD deck and an alarm installed and rear window is tinted.

Still having a ruff time deciding.
Both are around 3G CND.
My uncle really does not want to sell me his S4 but he said he would more than lickly sell me it after this winter. And yes he would be driving it all winter.
He only uses it the odd day. 2 or 3 times a week, mostly highway KM's since he lives in the country. Comes into the city the off time.
Still haven't got a chance to take the 1990 FC to the delership to get checked out yet but will be either tomorrow or wednesday. So we will see how that goes.
It was driven by a teenager for 3 years so not to sure how ruff he was on it.

Hoping you guys could help me out here and kinda throw me in the right direction. I've read the FAQ and the "How to buy a RX-7". Still just am totelly stuck on what to do.
I can either buy this S5 FC in about a week or wait all winter and get the S4 which i believe is in better shape and can always trust my uncle to know what was wrong with it and that it has been taken care of.

Thanks

im sayin it all depends on how u like the looks becuz the carpet and shiz can be replaced but u can put s5 tails on a s4 so.. i would pick the car with the best runnin engine.. find out which one runs smoother and go from there..and make sure the rebuilt engine is flawless if your thinkin about that one..

How would i check to make sure the engine is "flawless"?
NM i guess the dealership would tell me

I'm scared he might have just done one of those cheap rebuilds. If he did, would it really be that bad?
Sounds like hes a momma's boy though. I think his parents paid for all the insurance and stuff cause he doesn't have a job or anything. So maybe they would have payed for a good rebuild.
Also its the original tranny. How many KM's did you guy's start having problems with your transmission's?

Thanks again

A compression test will give you a good idea if the engine was broken in properly. Which would seem to be the biggest problem dealing with the previous owners age.
