AEM had some quality control issues and actually pulled a lot of thier ignition products off the market a few years ago rather than continue to sell them. The biggest issue was the circuit that turned "off" the unit could sometimes fail and a capacitor would continue leaking current through the system and damage the components, so the unit would fail.
The twin fire seems pretty stable but I have not used one on a rotary. You are welcome to swing by the shop and I will be glad to help you in any way I can.

Either way,you got yourself a Friggin Bargain!
I read that the HKS has a "Fail-safe" design.since it operates off of a Negative Feed( if the box fails, your ignition reverts back to stock).
Does the AEM also have this?
...
I'd take up D Walker's invitation to see the AEM in action and that way you can judge things for yourself.
If you choose not to use it,you could always Profit from the great deal you got!
Good luck,,(****,you don't need any MORE luck,,give me some!!!!).Cheers STYX!~

I had one couple off years ago and it was garbage.Random misfire at high rpms and bad ignitors is the only thing that you will get, well some people even lost motor thanks to it.
