Ensure that whatever header you buy has a pressure tube to hook up the stock system.

Racing Beat has one like that if you can't find one.

Don't bump in tech sections, people will answer when they are here.

That hole is the hole for the O2 sensor. The racing beat picture above has the small tube coming out of the right tube, thats what you are looking for.

I don't know anything about pacesetters except that in my opinion they are super junk and I would not put one on my car.

It does if you interpret it correctly, Pacesetters are junk...buy a Racing Beat.
If you really want to know, look at the pacesetter, does it have an air return tube?
Yes? Then it will activate the ports. No? Then it wont.

I would simply switch a pressure line from the air pump with an stock mazda solenoid and an rpm switch.

You can use a Pacesetter Header to activate the Ports. What you have to do is to Drill a hole at the collector and Add a small pipe,by welding it in, right Before the flange to the Cat,on the Header side...This Pipe will Supply the Ports with Enough Back pressure at the collector to Open the Aux Ports..It's NOT Bullshit!(heh!),as I have done it to the Pacesetter Header On my car and the AUX ports work Dandy!

Well... you can see where things get a little more complicated than just putting on a header. I'm working on an eletronic activation setup with a pressure tank fed off of my RoadRace pressure pipe, rpm switches, pressure regulator, solenoid air valves, and one-way valves & a boost gauge to give me the ultimate controlable setup for 5th & 6th port & VDI actuation as well as LED indication of full port opening. I just ordered my parts from Summit racing and will post my progress. I'm gonna use some door-jamb switches to activate LED's to indicate full-open position of the 5th & 6th ports as well as the VDI that I upgraded to on my s4.

We'll see what happens!!!
