3800 rpm loss of power all the way to red line
I have been searching alot about the 3800 rpm problems our cars have and cant find symptoms like mine. Rus freaking fantistic when the engine is cold no hesatatin no wall 100%. But as soon as my temp gauge is in the normal temp rang all my power from 3800 up is gone it still runs fine no bucking or backfiring its just so slow. So this is making me think the the secondary injectors arent firing any of the time but when the engine is cold you dont notice because the primaries are at full rich when cold and this off sets the secondires not opening. So i wanna know how do I test to see if the seconday injectors are working at all. Oh and I have to mention the ports are fully operational.
Thanks Jim

get a mechanics stethescope from autozone or where ever and have a friend rev the car past 3800 after it warms up to normal running temp. listen for a clicking sound at the injectors. the clicking sound will be the pin inside sliding back and forth, letting the fuel in. if you dont hear a click, then thats the problem. could be the electric plugs on the back, or the injectors themselves though.

Me too almost
I have an 88 GXL that starts to jerk around at 3800 rpm all the way up. Fixed up the grounds got not change. I think I'll take the secondaries out and get them cleaned. I costs about $20 cad here.
