ACT....4 puck or 6?

Im gonna order my ACT clutch this week and Im torn between the 4 and 6 puck. The prices are about the same and I was wondering what you guys think i should get. I want it to grab hard with NO slip. Its not a daily driver but I still want to able to drive it through the city on the weekend. My mods are below. What do you guys think?

Thanx alot.

6 puck. Be prepared for frequent flywheel changes and crappy launches. This must be an autocross car...

Six puck will result in crappy launches?? What you recommend just the regular ACT S/S clutch offered at the rx-7 store or which??

i have a ACT 4 puck with the EXTREME pressure plate and i use the car everyday. the clutch grabs hard with no slippage. as for launching you have to slightly drag it out for better launches,if you don't you will either bog the car or spin the tires! i like this clutch so much i'm putting one in my FD.

i have the act six puck setup in my TII. as long as your brake system eg clutch master and slave are up to the task. the clutch is great i raced and daily drove on it without any problems.

what were u doin wrong?......I have xplate w/6 puck and it works fine......it does grab hard but once u get the feel of the clucth u can take off smooth.....mine is a daily driver.....the xplate is the way to go......with the disk to avoid the real neck snappin grabs get a spring loaded disk.....ive been told that the solid disk is known for tearin up rear-ends......check with ACT to see if they have it.....i got my disk from else where but the plate came from ACT......

For a good launch, you HAVE to slip the clutch. Think about it; if you don't the engine is gonna bog down, or the tires will spin.
Slipping a copper puck clutch just eats the flywheel. What is the point of putting this on a street car?
My ACT Xtreme clutch with organic disk hold up to plenty of power is is EASILY street drivable.

Those clutches are for racing. You *can* use them on the street, but what is the point?

Just b/c a piece is for RACING doesn't mean it'll make your STREET car faster... Look how people bash electric water pumps...

The Car will not launch easier, and even the most jedad attempts at slipping the clutch will result in a bog or a chirp.

I had a 6 puck in my GTU and it was fine for daily driving, thats why Im not sure if I wanna step up to a 4. I guess I'll go with the sprung 6 puck. That bitch better not slip!
