Car starting to Die?
Im am having a problem with my 88 RX-7. In the morning I start my car to let it warm up for school. It seems to like to die on me if it is cold but if I rev it, it will idle out and not die. It only happens if the car is cold though. Any Ideas on why my car would be like this?

Proper warmup procedure for the car is to start it, wait one minute, then drive carefully until up to operating temperature. Excessive idling does not help things.
That said, it sounds like your cold start is malfunctioning. Does the car jump to 3000RPM when started, then down to 1500, finally settling on a proper idle when it is warm? If not, then check your thermowax, and the small thermoswitch on the drivers side bottom of the rad.

when I start it it goes up to aroud 3000rpm then drops to about 1500 then to about 1000 then 500 then it dies....if I rev it a little then it stays about 1500rpm and idles there till it is fairly warm then idles normal and usually won't do it the rest of the day.
