A1 AUTO Carpet

Has any one tried this carpet?
Does it compare to stock quality?

My friend and I both have it, it's plenty good quality you just have to cut your own holes. Also, it doesn't have the contoured padding underneath like the stock carpet but it doesn't change how it looks at all.

Hard to say because I've removed my sound deadening tar and mats.

My friends rx7 that has the carpet also seems to be normal, not loud, but I don't drive that every day like mine so I'm not 100% sure.

"New in box. Made by Auto Custom Carpets ACC. Highest quality available. Fit is guaranteed for coupe models; this carpet does not fit 2+2 or convertible models. Carpets are made with Custom Comfort by Dupont. Material has more fibers per square inch for increased durability and color retention. Includes passenger compartment and rear hatch area. Carpet is molded using an original floorpan. Correct driver's heelpad and a jute insulation backing under the passenger areas included."

I bought their set for one of my 1st gens over a year ago, still heven't put it in yet. You will need to save the origional padding, or replace it with some new foam. Most of the aftermarket carpet suppliers will also sell matching carpet by the yard, so you can refresh the wheel well covers and the bottom of the door panels.

Quality seems pretty good, but I suspect the ounce weight is less than oem.

It is the same carpet as found in the 86-87 Sport, Base, Luxury coupe models. It is not the longer tough carpet that is found in the GXL, Turbo, and convertibles.

Fits fine though.
