Look at what fuse is needed to run it in the original car. If it requires more than a 30-40 amp fuse than you shouldn't use a 30-40 amp relay.

If it is anything like the tauras e-fan than you will need more than the one 30-40 amp relay.

No problems with a 70A relay.

No, but you need to use minimum 10 ga wire on the high and 12 ga. wire on the low. You should therefore use 10 ga to supply the common terminal.

Oem fuse for the Taurus fan is 40 amps. My Bosch/Tyco 20/30 relay setup has been fine with upgraded wires in the harness.

What exactly is a 30/40A relay? A relay is either rated at 30A or 40A. Which is it?

E-fan instructions are available here:

On a SPDT relay, the first number rates the NC, the second number rates the N/O. Thus in a 30/40 relay the normally closed, Terminal 87a, is rated for max 30 amps, the normally open, Terminal 87, is rated at 40 amps.

I personally consider a Bosch/Tyco relay at 20/30 rating to be the equal to any Chinese made off brand/private label 30/40 relay.
