89-91 turbo in a 88?

89-91 turbo in a 88?

I own a 1988 turbo 2 and am in need of a new turbo, i found one for a 91, but will it be a direct bolt on or what, please help i dont know much about turbo 2's. thanx in advance. Nick

If you get the manifold, the manifold and turbo will bolt to the S4 block. But an S5 turbo wont bolt to an S4 manifold.

You need to swap oil drain lines I think.

Alright, simplified:

To use a s5 turbo you must:
Have a s5 turbo (duh)
Have a s5 turbo exh manifold
Keep your oil return lines and bolt them on from your s4.
