87 tII strange problem
so a few weeks ago i install an electric fan and i disconnected the battery and then when i was all finished i went to start and all it would do is crank over. so i replaced the relay by the clutch resivoir and also the fuel pump relay thing by the afm. so i just got done doing the swap from no ps to ps and guess what the car wont start again. so i am very stuck right now. could it be that im using the ecu out of an 88 instead of the one out of the 87??? i didn't think that it would matter that much.
Could be that you're using an ECU designed for high imp. injectors and using it to drive low imp. with no mention of adding the in-line resistors....
Or it could be a host of other problems such as flooding

ok so i swapped to the 87 ecu but now i get nothing. i swapped the resitor relay and also the main relay like last time but now im not getting any fuel. all fueses look good so i don't know whats going on. any ideas anyone????
alright so i checked the main relay it has no readings without 12 volt. then with it had .4 ohm all around.
next im checking the fuel pump resistor relay and the specs are
a-b 0
c-d 68-92
e-f 0.64
per fsm
this is what im getting on it
a-b .4
c-d 75.7
e-f .9
so i think that i might need a new one????
any other thoughts, is there anyway that i could bypass this part??? this is the second time this has happened to me.

alright so i got it fixed. good god that took forever. well it ended up being one of three wires.
the knock sensor
the tps
the air temp sensor wire.
so i pulled everything apart and i ran the jumper for the fuel and nothing. so i was a little irritated so i just started shaking wires and then i heard it. so i started shaking them one by one and then i found it. so i rewired and then put everything back together and it fired right up. now i am happy again. i start school on the 3rd of jan so i had to get it fixed.
the ps swap works great also.
