I've seen that mod before. (AND I RAN AWAY)
It actually was a limited production kit (yes there are more somewhere).
It is supposed to be copying a 1959 Austin Healey Sprite, the one nick-named the "Bugeye".
My concern would be if it was wrecked, and repaired with those parts.
Make sure the frame is straight.
You can always buy a parts car for a few hundered for all the sheet metal to change it back to stock.
