400hp?

Do you think it is possible to take the 6-port 13B to 350-400HP via bridgeporting (w/associated mods) and the addition of a supercharger?

I ask this because then I could do step by step modification, start with the basics, then port the motor, then add the supercharger if I still want more. And slap on the funny fog if I'm still hungry for more.

Also, how does that setup sound?

It's quite possible to get 400hp out of a boosted 13b - but it may be more work than you plan on. You need to take other factors into consideration, like your fuel and spark systems.

And i'd rather pour Kero syrup into my 13B then feed it nitrous oxide. Odds are, the Kero syrup wouldn't cause it to fail nearly as fast.

or you could do it much easier (and probably cheaper) with a street ported 4 port turbo, with a t04.

higly possibly i'd say, slap a 4/71 GM blower, or a blower of similar size, blow 12-15psi into it and i'd say you'll be in the ball park, just ENSURE you have enough fuel supply

Do you think 550cc primaries w/ 1600cc secondaries with a Haltech would be overkill?
Or better yet how far could a fuel system in that configuration take me?

the 1600cc ones require a custom fuel rail. the more common way to go is 4x720cc. you will also be able to find more haltech maps for this setup. the 4x720 will get your around 400hp at the wheels. 450-475 or so at the engine.

Well, there is the chance that I will want to boost more than that, so I want to have as much fuel available as possible.

I am a little unfamiliar with superchargers. Does changeing the boost on a SC require changing the pulley, or could you set the SC up for higer boost and install something to control boost?

I'm pretty sure it's only done by the pulley. you also have to make sure the SC can handle it, as with the smaller pulley it is just spining at a faster RPM, which if to high would lead to failure.

I'd say you'll need 4 x 800's possibly more, BP's run more volumetric efficenty than a street port does, so more air/fuel can go in.

some guys with Injected 13B Bridge Ports are running outta gas near redline with 4 x 800's, you'd propably be better off with 720 primaries or 800 primaries and 1200 secondaries just to be safe

You have to be careful about overspinning the supercharger with a smaller pulley. The Paxton SN-89 that I'm running also can be modified to put out 17psi, up from my current 8-10psi. With proper fuel and an intercooler, along with porting, you should be able to get there.

Anyone know anything about ATI Procharger? It is designed to work with an intercooler and is capable of up to 30PSI boost. Also they advertise that they put out more power and are more efficient than normal SCs. So on an engine that could normally run 6-8PSI I could run ~15PSI on pump gas.

Supercharged Rex, Do you know where the post about the SC install kit is?
