Look at the top 2 threads that are stickied in this section. The 1st thread will give you all the specs. Also under that look at the FAQ's. You'll get your answer.

Anything that is not a base model...
1986 - 1988 models are easy to tell, since all base models in those years come with 4-lug hubs / wheels.

1989 - 1991 models are tricky, since they are all 5-lug hubs / wheels.
You can peer through the wheels to see - check the rears, since the rear brake rotor is solid (not vented) on base models.

I thought only the TII's had vented rotors?

S4: Sport, GTU, GXL, Turbo
S5: GXL, GTUs, Turbo

 

And verts.
