3500RPM bogg. Injectors.. or other possibilty

As someone of you may have read already, I am having issues with my 86 GXL. If i stab the throttle, as soon as it hits 3500 rpms it bogs. But If I ease into it, it will rev past 3500. I talked to my teach Mr Itto, He said that there is other things that could possibly be wrong that I should check before I go replacing the injectors. He mentioned the possibility of the fuel filter being restricted, only allowing enough fuel in to reach 3500RPM (I didn't understand how that could be if I was able to rev it past 3500 if i just kept easing into it), he also mentioned some vacuum solenoids on the intake manifold may cause this. And here is where my question is. What solenoids on the manifold would cause this?

Deviant.

I bought new injector oring's and cleaned out the inlets on them with brake clean. Also picked up a fuel filter. It should all be in tomorrow.

it'll probably be your ECU Grounds, but you might as well check them all.

Next time search please, this is a very common problem.

Factory Service Manual Located below
http://www.teamfc3s.org/main/factory_service_manual

The electronic 3 way vacuum solenoids are on the drivers side of the engine. Series4 (86-88) have 4 solenoids.

Fuel Pressure Regulator solenoid
EGR Valve Solenoid
Switching Solenoid
relief Solenoid

Neither one will cause the hesitation you speak of. The only one that some may THINK could cause it is the FPR solenoid but no matter how that fails, it would not cause a hesitation under WOT at that rpm.

The FAQ at the top of the forum covers the 3800 RPM hesitation, like others have said, its common. I myself have the issue.
