1.7 is rated safely to 14psi on stock turbo. That's a good 50-100hp less than your desired range.

I would recommend gettign a Rtek 2.0 with 720's all around or maybe bigger secondaries just as a precaution.
I always prefer to stay on the safe side when it comes to a $2,000+ motor.
The motor can be more reliable when you put less strain on the setup to produce that number. Like mentioned above, 8psi on a larger turbo will last longer than 16psi.
Yeah ive been playing with getting a 1.8 or 2.0, only thing about the 2.0 is the palm thing. Im having trouble finding cheap palms that are supported. Its either 2.0 and another 300 for a palm or a 1.8 and a SAFC and larger secondaries... When the time comes Ill debate it more, but Im still several months away from that step. Ive also been thinking maybe Stage 3 also instead of Stage 2... again, Ill see when the time comes
