2 questions, turbo lsd and exhaust diffusers

First question, can you put a trubo2 or gtu clutch type lsd on a base model rx7 without any modifications? also what about tranny and drive shaft?

question #2, what would happen if you removed the exhaust port diffusers?

Gtu will go in and you can use n/a driveshaft and haft shafts, with a turbo lsd you will need turbo half shafts and a mazdatrix n/a-turbo driveshaft. I believe there is some debate about your second question..

Yes that's them, everyone is gonna say search before posting questions like that, then they'll complain if you bump an old thread(speaking from experience) just an fyi I always have better luck searching through google then the forums search engine. Just trying to save your from getting bitched at lol.

More power... or at least noise.

Even with a full RB system on my car, switching to turbo exhaust sleeves made an appreciable difference in the noise. Too many other things changed on the engine in that build for me to have any more specific comment.

+1^^^

Unless there is a radical (race port, J-port, bridge port, P-port) there is no appreciable performance advantage to running no diffusers or turbo diffusers. The noise difference however is staggering (and even with those ports the difference may be negligible)

There are two street ported n/a FC's locally, one with diffusers, one without, they split the races 50/50 from a dig, and from a roll. Both are slow (objectively speaking) but the one w/o diffusers seems much slower because it makes so much damn noise.
