Talking 2 cycle oil

Well I went out and bought some 2 cycle oil to add to the fuel . After I bought it I noticed that it said it was a synthetic blend. Will this still work without messing any thing up?

It just says on the bottle "Meets and exceeds ISO-EGD and JASCO FC specifications".

Stick with good name brands on the 2 cycle oil synthetic or not. I use either the OMC or Mercury Quicksilver oils in my cars. I figure if it protects $12,000 piston engine outboards turning nearly as many rpms as my rotary it should be good stuff.

Just my 2 cents worth though.

Search for "premix" Basically, it lubricates the internal seals better.

Pre-mixing the oil with the fuel allows you to eliminate the oil metering pump. Pre-mixing is more dependable, and the proper pre-mix oil will burn more cleanly than the oil from your oilpan.

for when your oil metering pump goes out, or you decide to take it off...the aforementioned parts purpose to inject oil to lube the internals of the motor...so when this stops working, or you take it off, voila! no more lube...so you add in 2 cycle oil with your fuel, and you now have lubing greatness

edit: damn damn damn, double treed, oh well, mine sounded better
