You NEED to get a T2 ECU AND the BOOST SENSOR for the car to run right.
The n/a will get the engine running though.
Personally I'd NEVER use a turboii Emissions harness on a n/a car. There is too much mickey mousing to be done to make the Emissions harness mate with the Front harness. The plugs referred to as X-15 and X-16 in the series four manual is what I'm talking about. Do a SEARCH on this forum and put in X-15 or X-16 and you''ll get a couple of hits and on one of those threads you'll see the pinouts for X-15/x-16 and you''' see the differences in pinouts for n/a vs turboii.
Just FYI, the alternators small plug is on the emissions harness on a non turbo but is on the engine harness on a turbo. Yet another reason to keep the n/a harness in lieu of a turboii emissions harness.
See this jpg: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attach...hmentid=142663
See the ( ) and how those are for turbo? And how they are not for n/a? So it's obvious if you put a turboii emissions harness in a non turbo car with of course a non turbo Front harness..................things ain't a gonna work right unless Changes are made.
There are any number of posts about the swap your doing. Here's one: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...highlight=X-15
And on them you'll find different opinions on *HOW TO*.
CHANGES should be made if you use the n/a emission harness to match the turboii engine. Those changes are fewer and easier in my honest opinion.
All you need is the wiring diagram............the page called Control Unit out of the FSM for the turbo car and Control Unit for the non turbo car and compare them side by side.
It also never hurt to know what the items in the Control Unit pages do in life and their location in the car.
FAQ STICKYS?????? Yes, read them. I think they s..K.
BY THE WAY: THERE IS A FREE COPY OF THE FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL ONLINE AND THE URL IS IN THE FAQ THREAD ON THIS SITE (2nd gen site). The FAQ is the first or second thread on this site. Read the first part of it and you'll find the URL. Just download the FUEL section of the FSM and the WIRING section of the FSM to save time. Time's a wastin.

In other words............there's scads of threads/opinions out there and the search engine works to some degree on this site. You need to use the right words though.
