1st gear sync

i was wondering if anyone elses 1st gear is a bitch to get into if your moving at low speed it always grinds. how hard would this be to fix and how much money because once i get into auto-x im asuming i will need to get this fixed

well i have to come to a pretty much stop just to get back into first if not it grinds really bad.

Wow. That sounds bad. Uhh.. My first gear pops in with no problem, no sound. Might want to get that looked at.

...well, that or you could learn to double-clutch and rev-match... a pain in the ***, but problem solved.

yeah ive tried rev maching once but that didnt work. but i think on auto-x i would have to slow down that much to put it into first in a hurry and speed back up

Hey dude...... I have the same problem.... It isnt the syncro..... im not sure it is, might be something with the clutch or something.. im not sure... But while in an autocross I didnt have the problem... maybe I didnt just feel/ hear the grind....... but your not really supposed to downshift into first anway... They figure if you going any faster than stoped than you can take off from second I guess.

Same thing here...annoying as hell. Anything over 5 mph or so it feels locked out.

yeah it locks it out for safety reasons...both my TII did that....you can hear it kinda whine when you try to put it in first slowly...i think its supposed to do that
