Not the aux ports.

If it's an S5, it could be limp mode.

Clogged cats would cause that? And limp mode? And I'm pretty sure it's a manual... Would it be a lost cause? It's an 87 gxl and he is sellin it for 850 cuz everything else is clean but that 15mph limit.

There's no limp mode on a series four.

How does it idle? Sound normal at idle?

If it sounds more or less ok at idle, then once the engine warms up, disconnect the TPS connector and try to drive it. Might work, might not. Too little to go on.

Car as described is worth mybe three hundred bucks on the OUTSIDE to me. And then it'd have to be pristine.

There is another thread reguarding a 4k RPM limit. ( https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/1986-n-wont-rev-past-4-000rpm-753264/ ) may be the same issue. One fellow fixed his issue by replaceing the 2ndary injectors. Myself and another fellow aren't so lucky. His problem started after a check engine light. My problem was preceeded by a coolant alarm - not sure if it's related. (I have not checked for codes yet).
