13bre questioin, help...

For those of you who dont know that I am doing the re swap in my FC, I just took the flywheel off my n/a engine and tried to put it on my re.. Well my question is.. Whe I torqued it down to the re motor the flywheel was pressed against the metal housing behind the flywheel..Is there some sort of spacer that goes on befor the fly, or am I just missing something? I looked at both engines and they seem to be the same in that spot. Any one that has any info please help. I goto work at 5am and I would like to get this engine in the bay when I get off work by 2pm.. Just so people know the money pit is going pretty good so far and I will have pics soon... Thanks guys

I think the 13B-RE flywheel is the same as the TII and FD one which means your N/A flywheel will not fit.

The 13b-re is an automatic none of them came with flywheels.

I know for a fact that the S5 TII and FD flywheels do fit, and cannot come up with a good reason why the N/A would not. There is no spacer, you did install the keyway in the eshaft, right? and it did not slip out and get crushed against the stantionary gear.

Words of advice:
Remember to install a pilot bearing and seal in the ezhaft as there is not going to be one there

Start saving your money for a TII drivetrain because the tiny little n/a clutch can't handle the power of the 13b-re, neither can the trans or differential

Okay I know I didnt put it on backwards, and the Keyway was on its track the entire time.. I dont know or think I damaged to stationary gear in any way.
How can the n/a flywheel not fit if ther is not a spacer from the n/a to re? Isn't the re and the n/a housing on the flywheel side the same?Has any one ever used the n/a fly on a re engine befor?
Im pretty sure that my n/a drive train will be okay because i wont be abusing it at all?
Do you think that I should just buy a after market flywheel for the n/a tranny? Thanks buys I guess it looks like the motor wont be gonig in today after all.. And Bonzai-Racing I got your re mounts a week or so ago and they look good..Thanks

Could it be possible that the KeyWays are different from the n/a to the 13bre?
I was thinking that the re one stops the flywheel from hitting the housing?

Otherwise does Anyone want to sell a full t2 drivetrain for a good price???
C'mon people hook a brother up..
