i used a block off plate and run pre-mix on mine , also used an s5 water pump housing . I have a full to4b set-up but i am currently running a stock s4 turbo . Im also using anrtek 1.7 ecu with 720 secondaries and its running great . if your planning on anything more than 280-300rwhp i'd go with a stand alone ecu . Im not so i didn't . oh yeah the oil cooler lines will bolt up but the rear one is gonna be taunt and stretched , ill advised . i made some ss braided lines with an fittings cost about $150 for all the parts and it fits perfect .
p.s. the cosmo tps will work with the s4 ecu if you wire it correctly .

Why would swap to the RE? Id spend the money on a rebuild being you already have a decent setup and everything fits. Freshen up what you have and port it while your at it
This is comming from a RE owner, givin the second chance i wouldnt have swapped this engine in.

my engine just got rebuilt 1500 miles ago landers did a rebuild plus turbo port. why wouldnt you have swapped though? the only reason i want to do it is because it is available and close to my house. (within 50 miles of my house).

BTW, The reason i go for the RE is because of the better flowing intake, better irons(than s4), its rare and i got one just a few kilometers from my home :=)
EDIT: You must use the s4 frontcover to use a mechanical OMP (if you dont want a hell of custom work..)

You can install a S4 front cover, but the RE only has 2 oil injectors like the FD. So mating the 4 line OMP to the engine and the actuating rod to the TB, will take some custom work.
For the TPS wiring, if you are using the stock S4 turbo ECU, then you can only wire up the full range portion of the RE TPS. The ecu does not have the input for the narrow range.

S4 uses the narrow-range.

I have injector envy!
yet again to restate......why?
You already have a good motor, what is the point. its not like there is something drastically different between the two. You would spend all that time and money to be around the same HP. I mean I like the look of the UIM but thats about it.

New fuellines, oil lines, (rails), engine mounts, clutch, fuelfilter, oilfilter, Engine management, overhaul kit, port tamplates, injectors, manifold and turbo.. Guess thats about everything i bhoughtt for the conversion.. Offcourse you dont need to change everything.. Also new vacuum lines and block off plates could be smart to buy..

Then you should have almost everything you need.. I guess you know(havnt read the hole thread) but you need new cooler lines..
Great to see that more people are using the RE engine as a conversion.. I think its much easier than the REW and the inlet manifold is #)=¤(/)# good looking! hehe
