10W60 (searched)?

I know these oil questions is getting old but my problem is I would like to use castrol 20W50 in my engine but the oil is not available where I live. Only castrol oil what I might go for is TWS Motorsport 10W-60 but itīs full synthetic. Is that oil better than 20W50 for rotary ans could I go for it? I searched alot and most people use castrol 20W50, others use Mobil1 20W50, others says Mobil1 is crap.. Donīt really know what is good and whats not for a rotaries.

If I canīt find castrol 20W50 should I go for 10W60 or Mobil1 20W50?

Oh and is Valvoline good oil? I could get Valvoline vr1 racing SAE 20W50 (full synthetic I believe).

if your oil injection is still working then no dont use the synthetic use another name brand conventional 20w50 oil

if your oil injection is sitll functional then you can use what ever you please but that 10w60 is an offly big span i would probably avoid that but thats just me

I would avoid going to a 60 weight, the heavier weight will only cost you HP and mileage.

If you can't find 20W50, then try bumping down to 10W30. 10W30 is fine is starting temps up to about 85-90F.

PM hIGGI about this - we've gone over most of the Euro available oils, and he knows my recommendations.

I dunno if it's the same in Finland, but in CZ mineral oils cost almost the same as synths!
In the U.S., this is not true.
So don't blame the guy who looking at synths.
It's really weird over there!

For most engines we are using Valvoline VR1 Racing 20W50 (mineral) and in other 2 cars we used Valvoline VR1 Racing 5W50 (fully synth), both available from CZ dealer.

You can use the valvoline synthetic oil in your vehicle with no worries. It is a Group III oil and in the strictest sense of the definition IS NOT A TRUE SYNTHETIC (ESTER OR PAO) oil that you have to be concerned with.

As for the 10-60 oil, if that is all you got, you'll be ok. I'm amazed how advocates of 20w50 over 10w-40 never cite fuel economy in their rationale.
